Her Own Story
I was born with a severe and rare heart condition. The doctors told my mother that I would most likely have a life expectancy of about ten years. My mother’s faith in God pulled her through such a grim prognosis, as I surprised the doctors year after year as I grew into adulthood.
I got married and the next thing in my life was to become a mother. It was highly discouraged due to my disease, but I knew my body and knew my God. Against our doctor’s advice, I moved on to become a mother, as I wanted nothing more in life than a baby of my very own.
I suffered severe postpartum hemorrhage and the doctors told my husband they had done all they could to save my life. I was in a coma for 12 days, as my husband cared for our 28 week preemie praying and believing with unrelenting faith that God would finish what he started in me all those years ago. The doctors, nurses, friends, and even my Pastor had prepared for my impending death as my husband stood strong KNOWING what God told him that day, “Believe In my works, and I will see her through.”
After 73 days in the hospital, my son and I indeed are living miracles of what a little FAITH in a big God can do!
